Hello from Legendary Fitness!
…transforming your goals
into legendary results.
Are you training for a purpose? It’s easy
to spot a baby boomer gym rat training for a purpose. Intensity in training, weekly physique
changes, positive attitude and a physical demeanor that screams, “winner,” provide a visual image of a lifter training
for a purpose.

New techniques to correct presbyopia, the Greek word for “old sight.” When the aging lens
becomes rigid and less efficient with accommodating near and distant vision,
most baby boomers turn to reading glasses.
A new option to correct presbyopia is a laser monovision procedure, where one eye is
corrected for close up vision, leaving the other eye for distant
vision. The FDA recommends trying monovision with contact lenses before undergoing surgery to
make sure you are able to adjust to monovision.

Yoga Journal preaches a similar
message to our current “Training for a Purpose,” article. Many of our baby
boomer readers participate in this inherently individual practice. The Yoga Journal states, “Like
yoga, eating is a highly personal activity-you learn to adapt your needs to the
many popular nutritional systems and diets. Developing a mindful
eating practice can provide a ground that truly supports and nurture your yoga.
