Hello from Legendary Fitness!

…transforming your goals into legendary results.

By 1999 nearly 40% of baby boomers spent more money on skin care than ever before.  Even consumers under 30 have realized that in order to look younger they must pay more attention to protecting their skin by spending more on preventative measures to reduce photo damage.  Just in the United States, one can see the rise in billions of dollars spent each year on skin care products.

But, is all of this spending on skin care products necessary to redefine the aging process?  The experts say no.  Exercise, sound nutrition and resistance training is the key to healthy skin and a youthful appearance.

Richard and Diane cover the topic, “Beauty is Skin Deep” in their latest Bodybuilding for Baby Boomers article on Bodybuilding.com.  To learn more about the secrets of healthy skin and a youthful appearance, click here to read the rest of their column.

What are net carbs Also known as impact carbs or effective carbs, was invented by the food industry to capitalize on the current low-carb phenomenon.  Net carbs are calculated by taking the total grams of carbohydrates per serving, and then subtracting the grams of fiber and sugar alcohols.  Sugar alcohols are not sugar or alcohol, but rather, sweeteners.  Food manufacturers claim that the fiber isn’t digested and sugar alcohols have a negligible effect on blood glucose, so they don’t count.
While effects of sugar alcohols on blood glucose in minimal, sugar alcohols do have calories that MUST be counted.
